DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 179/2025

amending Annex IX (Financial services) to the EEA Agreement [2025/2113]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/415 of 13 December 2024 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying adjustment of own funds requirement and minimum features of stress testing programmes of issuers of asset-referenced tokens or of e-money tokens ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/418 of 16 December 2024 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying the minimum content of the governance arrangements on the remuneration policy of issuers of significant asset-referenced or e-money tokens ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/419 of 16 December 2024 supplementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to regulatory technical standards specifying the procedure and timeframe for an issuer of asset-referenced tokens or of e-money tokens to adjust the amount of its own funds ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex IX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 31rt (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/414) of Annex IX to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Regulations (EU) 2025/415, (EU) 2025/418 and (EU) 2025/419 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 12 July 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
