DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 96/2025

amending Annex IX (Financial services) to the EEA Agreement [2025/1385]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1618 of 6 June 2024 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/763 laying down implementing technical standards for the application of Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Directive 2014/59/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to the supervisory reporting and public disclosure of the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities ( 1 ) , as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90490, 8.8.2024 , is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex IX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following is added in point 14azza (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/763) of Annex IX to the EEA Agreement:

‘, as amended by:

— 32024 R 1618 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1618 of 6 June 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/1618, 7.6.2024 ), as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90490, 8.8.2024 .’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1618, as corrected by OJ L, 2024/90490, 8.8.2024 , in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 9 May 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
