DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 289/2024

amending Annex VII (Recognition of professional qualifications) to the EEA Agreement [2025/557]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 of 4 March 2024 amending Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the minimum training requirements for the professions of nurse responsible for general care, dental practitioner and pharmacist ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 of 5 March 2024 amending Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the evidence of formal qualifications and the titles of training courses ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex VII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indents are added in point 1 (Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Annex VII to the EEA Agreement:

32024 L 0782 : Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 of 4 March 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/782, 31.5.2024 ),

— 32024 D 1395 : Commission Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 of 5 March 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/1395, 31.5.2024 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Directive (EU) 2024/782 and Delegated Decision (EU) 2024/1395 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 7 December 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
