DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 302/2024

amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement [2025/596]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2165 of 1 July 2024 on the publication of a list indicating certain CO 2 emissions values per manufacturer as well as average specific CO 2 emissions of all new heavy-duty vehicles registered in the Union pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1242 of the European Parliament and of the Council for the reporting period of the year 2021 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex XX to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following point is inserted after point 21azkac (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1127) of Annex XX to the EEA Agreement:

‘21azkad.

32024 D 2165 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2165 of 1 July 2024 on the publication of a list indicating certain CO 2 emissions values per manufacturer as well as average specific CO 2 emissions of all new heavy-duty vehicles registered in the Union pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1242 of the European Parliament and of the Council for the reporting period of the year 2021 ( OJ L, 2024/2165, 21.8.2024 ).’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2165 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 7 December 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
