DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 275/2024

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex IV (Energy) to the EEA Agreement [2025/549]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2048 of 4 July 2023 correcting Delegated Regulations (EU) No 626/2011, (EU) 2019/2015, (EU) 2019/2016 and (EU) 2019/2018 with regard to energy labelling requirements of air conditioners, light sources, refrigerating appliances, and refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annexes II and IV to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in points 4m (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 626/2011), 4x (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2015), 4y (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2016) and 4za (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2018) of Chapter IV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

32023 R 2048 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2048 of 4 July 2023 ( OJ L 236, 26.9.2023, p. 1 ).’

Article 2

The following indent is added in points 11m (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 626/2011), 11x (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2015), 11y (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2016) and 11za (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2018) of Annex IV to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

32023 R 2048 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2048 of 4 July 2023 ( OJ L 236, 26.9.2023, p. 1 ).’

Article 3

The text of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2048 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 7 December 2024, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
