DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 57/2025

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2025/984]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/2492 of 23 September 2024 amending Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 as regards the test methods, to adapt them to technical progress ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2555 of 21 March 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards hexabromocyclododecane ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2570 of 22 July 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards methoxychlor ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indents are added in point 12w (Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council):

‘—

32024 R 2555 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2555 of 21 March 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/2555, 27.9.2024 ),

— 32024 R 2570 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2570 of 22 July 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/2570, 27.9.2024 ).’

The following indent is added in point 12zza (Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008):

‘—

32024 R 2492 : Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/2492 of 23 September 2024 ( OJ L, 2024/2492, 24.9.2024 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Regulation (EU) 2024/2492 and Delegated Regulations (EU) 2024/2555 and (EU) 2024/2570 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2025, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
