DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 290/2023

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1135]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1020 of 24 May 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 as regards helicopter emergency medical service operations ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1020 repeals Commission Regulations (EC) No 768/2006 ( 2 ) and (EC) No 351/2008 ( 3 ) , which are incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which are consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 66nf (Commission Regulation (EU) No 965/2012):

‘ —

32023 R 1020 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1020 of 24 May 2023 ( OJ L 137, 25.5.2023, p. 1 ).’

The texts of points 66ra (Commission Regulation (EC) No 768/2006) and 66rb (Commission Regulation (EC) No 351/2008) are deleted.

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1020 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 28 October 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 114/2023 of 28 April 2023 ( 4 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
