DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 277/2023

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) and Annex IV (Energy) to the EEA Agreement [2024/1122]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/3 of 3 January 2023 correcting the German language version of Regulation (EU) 2019/1781 laying down ecodesign requirements for electric motors and variable speed drives pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, amending Regulation (EC) No 641/2009 with regard to ecodesign requirements for glandless standalone circulators and glandless circulators integrated in products ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annexes II and IV to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in point 6s (Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1781) of Chapter IV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

‘—

Article 2

The following indent is added in point 26t (Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1781) of Annex IV to the EEA Agreement:

32023 R 0003 : Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/3 of 3 January 2023 ( OJ L 2, 4.1.2023, p. 1 ).’

Article 3

The text of Regulation (EU) 2023/3 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 28 October 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
