The EC shall evaluate the US residue programme, and additional information to be submitted by the US, to determine whether it meets the EC level of protection. This evaluation shall be completed within six months of the entry into force of this Agreement The EC shall evaluate the US water standards to determine whether they meet the EC level of protection. This evaluation shall be completed within six months of the entry into force of this Agreement. The EC to evaluate a US request, when submitted, on the need for continued trichinae testing of horsemeat. Regarding footnote 5(e), the results of the inspections after incision of pig hearts shall be jointly evaluated after 12 months, with a view to determining if modifications should be made to the provisions of footnote 5(e). Equivalency (Yes 2) shall be granted after the EC has completed verification of the application of the specified conditions.
