COUNCIL DECISION (EU) 2024/854

extending the term of office of the Deputy Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2017 on the European Union trade mark (1), and in particular Article 158(6) thereof,

Whereas:

On 21 November 2023, the Management Board of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) after consultation of the EUIPO Executive Director decided to propose to the Council the extension of the term of office of Mr Andrea DI CARLO as Deputy Executive Director of the EUIPO for an additional period of five years, as from 1 November 2024,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The term of office of Mr Andrea DI CARLO as Deputy Executive Director of the EUIPO is hereby extended for a five-year period starting on 1 November 2024 and ending on 31 October 2029.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the

Official Journal of the European Union
