DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 126/2023

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2023/2269]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1874 of 25 October 2021 correcting the German language versions of Regulation (EU) 2018/395 laying down detailed rules for the operation of balloons as well as for the flight crew licensing for balloons, and of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1976 laying down detailed rules for the operation of sailplanes as well as for the flight crew licensing for sailplanes ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indent is added in points 66nk (Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/395) and 66zba (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/1976) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement:

32021 R 1874 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1874 of 25 October 2021 ( OJ L 378, 26.10.2021, p. 4 ).’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1874 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 April 2023, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 115/2023 of 28 April 2023 ( 2 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
