DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 174/2021

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2024/174]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1745 of 13 August 2019 supplementing and amending Directive 2014/94/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards recharging points for L-category motor vehicles, shore-side electricity supply for inland waterway vessels, hydrogen supply for road transport and natural gas supply for road and waterborne transport and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/674 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1745 repeals, with effect from 12 November 2021, Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/674 ( 2 ) , which is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and which is consequently to be repealed under the EEA Agreement with effect from 12 November 2021.

(3) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 5a (Directive 2014/94/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council) with effect from 12 November 2021:

‘-

32019 R 1745 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1745 of 13 August 2019 ( OJ L 268, 22.10.2019, p. 1 ).’

The text of point 5b (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/674) is replaced, with effect from 12 November 2021, by the following:

‘ 32019 R 1745 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1745 of 13 August 2019 supplementing and amending Directive 2014/94/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards recharging points for L-category motor vehicles, shore-side electricity supply for inland waterway vessels, hydrogen supply for road transport and natural gas supply for road and waterborne transport and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/674 ( OJ L 268, 22.10.2019, p. 1 ).’

Article 2

The text of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1745 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 12 June 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
