DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 255/2021

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement [2024/489]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/782 of 12 June 2020 amending Delegated Regulations (EU) 2018/761 and (EU) 2018/762 as regards their dates of application following the extension of the transposition deadline of Directive (EU) 2016/798 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/777 of 12 June 2020 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/763 as regards the dates of application and certain transitional provisions following the extension of the transposition deadline of Directive (EU) 2016/798 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/781 of 12 June 2020 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/545 as regards the dates of application and certain transitional provisions following the extension of the transposition deadline of Directive (EU) 2016/797 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following is added in point 37pa (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/545):

‘, as amended by:

— 32020 R 0781 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/781 of 12 June 2020 ( OJ L 188, 15.6.2020, p. 11 ).’

The following is added in points 42ia (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/761) and 42ib (Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/762):

‘, as amended by:

— 32020 R 0782 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/782 of 12 June 2020 ( OJ L 188, 15.6.2020, p. 14 ).’

The following is added in point 42ic (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/763):

‘, as amended by:

— 32020 R 0777 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/777 of 12 June 2020 ( OJ L 188, 15.6.2020, p. 1 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/782 and Implementing Regulations (EU) 2020/777 and (EU) 2020/781 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 25 September 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) , or on the day of the entry into force of Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 248/2021 of 24 September 2021 ( 4 ) , whichever is the later.

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
