DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 343/2021

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2024/662]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/917 of 7 June 2021 approving the low-risk active substances Pepino Mosaic Virus , EU strain, mild isolate Abp1 and Pepino Mosaic Virus , CH2 strain, mild isolate Abp2 in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 13a (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011):

‘-

32021 R 0917 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/917 of 7 June 2021 ( OJ L 201, 8.6.2021, p. 19 ).’

The following point is inserted after point 13zzzzzzzzzzzx (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/853):

‘13zzzzzzzzzzzy.

32021 R 0917 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/917 of 7 June 2021 approving the low-risk active substances Pepino Mosaic Virus , EU strain, mild isolate Abp1 and Pepino Mosaic Virus , CH2 strain, mild isolate Abp2 in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 ( OJ L 201, 8.6.2021, p. 19 ).’

Article 2

The text of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/917 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 11 December 2021, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
