DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement
THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,
Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 374/2013 of 23 April 2013 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of
Clostridium butyricum
(FERM BP-2789) as a feed additive for chickens reared for laying (holder of authorisation Miyarisan Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd represented by Miyarisan Pharmaceutical Europe S.L.U.)(1) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 445/2013 of 14 May 2013 concerning the authorisation of hydroxy-analogue of selenomethionine as a feed additive for all animal species(2) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(3) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 774/2013 of 12 August 2013 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of
Lactobacillus kefiri
DSM 19455 as a feed additive for all animal species(3) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(4) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 775/2013 of 12 August 2013 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of
Enterococcus faecium
DSM 7134 as a feed additive for chickens reared for laying and minor poultry species other than those used for laying (holder of authorisation Lactosan GmbH & Co KG)(4) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(5) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 787/2013 of 16 August 2013 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of
Bacillus subtilis
(ATCC PTA-6737) as a feed additive for turkeys for fattening and turkeys reared for breeding (holder of authorisation Kemin Europa N.V.)(5) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.
(6) This Decision concerns legislation regarding feedingstuffs. Legislation regarding feedingstuffs shall not apply to Liechtenstein as long as the application of the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products is extended to Liechtenstein, as specified in the sectoral adaptations to Annex I to the EEA Agreement. This Decision is therefore not to apply to Liechtenstein.
(7) Annex I to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

The following points are inserted after point 94 (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 636/2013) of Chapter II of Annex I to the EEA Agreement:

Article 2
The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) No 374/2013, (EU) No 445/2013, (EU) No 774/2013, (EU) No 775/2013 and (EU) No 787/2013 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the
Official Journal of the European Union
, shall be authentic.
Article 3
This Decision shall enter into force on 15 February 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(6).
Article 4
This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the
Official Journal of the European Union
