DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE

amending Annex XIII (Transport) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision 2013/2045/EU of 17 April 2013 amending Commission Decision C(2010) 774 as regards the screening of liquids, aerosols and gels at EU airports is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Decision 2013/4180/EU of 9 July 2013 amending Commission Decision C(2010) 774 laying down detailed measures for the implementation of the common basic standards on aviation security in respect of air cargo and mail is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indents are added in point 66hf (Commission Decision C (2010) 774 final) of Annex XIII to the EEA Agreement:

— 32013 D 4180

: Commission Implementing Decision 2013/4180/EU of 9 July 2013 amending Commission Decision C(2010) 774 laying down detailed measures for the implementation of the common basic standards on aviation security in respect of air cargo and mail.’

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on 15 February 2014, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made(1).

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the

Official Journal of the European Union
