appointing the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union for the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular the first subparagraph of Article 240(2) thereof,

Whereas the Secretary-General of the Council should be appointed for the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Mr Jeppe TRANHOLM-MIKKELSEN is hereby appointed Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union for the period from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025.

Article 2

This Decision shall be notified to Mr Jeppe TRANHOLM-MIKKELSEN by the President of the Council.

Official Journal of the European Union
