DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 67/2022

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1135]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1177 of 16 July 2021 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/408 as regards the deletion of propoxycarbazone from the list of active substances to be considered as candidates for substitution  ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1191 of 19 July 2021 renewing the approval of the active substance clopyralid in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011  ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

(1) the following indent is added in point 13a (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011):

‘—

32021 R 1191 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1191 of 19 July 2021 ( OJ L 258, 20.7.2021, p. 37 ).’;

(2) the following indent is added in point 13zzzzt (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/408):

‘—

32021 R 1177 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1177 of 16 July 2021 ( OJ L 256, 19.7.2021, p. 60 ).’;

(3) the following point is inserted after point 13zzzzzzzzzzzy (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/917):

‘13zzzzzzzzzzzz.

32021 R 1191 : Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1191 of 19 July 2021 renewing the approval of the active substance clopyralid in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 ( OJ L 258, 20.7.2021, p. 37 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Implementing Regulations (EU) 2021/1177 and (EU) 2021/1191 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 19 March 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made  ( * ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
