DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 124/2022

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2022/1568]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (‘the EEA Agreement’), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/2146 of 3 December 2021 postponing the expiry date of approval of N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide for use in biocidal products of product-type 19  ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/2148 of 3 December 2021 on the unresolved objections regarding terms and conditions of the authorisation of the biocidal product family Oxybio in accordance with Article 36 of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council  ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following points are inserted after point 12zzzzzzzp (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1839) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

32021 D 2146 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/2146 of 3 December 2021 postponing the expiry date of approval of N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide for use in biocidal products of product-type 19 ( OJ L 433, 6.12.2021, p. 23 ).

12zzzzzzzr.

32021 D 2148 : Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/2148 of 3 December 2021 on the unresolved objections regarding terms and conditions of the authorisation of the biocidal product family Oxybio in accordance with Article 36 of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council ( OJ L 434, 6.12.2021, p. 1 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Implementing Decisions (EU) 2021/2146 and (EU) 2021/2148 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 30 April 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made  ( * ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
