DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 8/2020

of 7 February 2020

amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement [2023/286]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1819 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include vinegar as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1820 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include Saccharomyces cerevisiae as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3) Commission Delegated Regulation 2019/1821 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include powdered egg as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1822 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include honey as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 4 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(5) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1823 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include D-fructose as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 5 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(6) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1824 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include cheese as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 6 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(7) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1825 of 8 August 2019 amending Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to include concentrated apple juice as an active substance in Annex I thereto ( 7 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(8) Annex II to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The following indents are added in point 12n (Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council) of Chapter XV of Annex II to the EEA Agreement:

— 32019 R 1823 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1823 of 8 August 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 13 ),

— 32019 R 1824 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1824 of 8 August 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 16 ),

— 32019 R 1825 : Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/1825 of 8 August 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 19 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Delegated Regulations (EU) 2019/1819, (EU) 2019/1820, (EU) 2019/1821, (EU) 2019/1822, (EU) 2019/1823, (EU) 2019/1824 and (EU) 2019/1825 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 8 February 2020, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( *1 ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
