DECISION OF THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE No 223/2022

amending Annex XVIII (Health and safety at work, labour law, and equal treatment for men and women) to the EEA Agreement [2023/640]

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (“the EEA Agreement”), and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1)

Commission Directive 2019/1832 of 24 October 2019 amending Annexes I, II and III to Council Directive 89/656/EEC as regards purely technical adjustments ( 1 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(2)

Commission Directive (EU) 2019/1833 of 24 October 2019 amending Annexes I, III, V and VI to Directive 2000/54/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards purely technical adjustments ( 2 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(3)

Commission Directive (EU) 2019/1834 of 24 October 2019 amending Annexes II and IV to Council Directive 92/29/EEC as regards purely technical adaptations ( 3 ) is to be incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

(4)

Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Annex XVIII to the EEA Agreement shall be amended as follows:

The following indent is added in point 11 (Council Directive 89/656/EEC):

‘-

32019 L 1832 : Commission Directive 2019/1832 of 24 October 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 35 ).’

The following indent is added in point 15 (Directive 2000/54/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council):

‘-

32019 L 1833 : Commission Directive (EU) 2019/1833 of 24 October 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 54 ).’

The following indent is added in point 16a (Council Directive 92/29/EEC):

‘-

32019 L 1834 : Commission Directive (EU) 2019/1834 of 24 October 2019 ( OJ L 279, 31.10.2019, p. 80 ).’

Article 2

The texts of Directives 2019/1832, (EU) 2019/1833 and (EU) 2019/1834 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union , shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 9 July 2022, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the EEA Agreement have been made ( * ) .

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union .
